Full moon eclipse, hello pennant goodbye babe and nightmares of exploding duffle bags with to much stuff.

Big tiger tippy toe into wet left hand lane with waypoints marked and mapped to Orewa B&B.

Goat Island, east Pacific coast Pahi beach 30 klicks of gravel, mud and dirty paws.

Windy traverse to West coast and dull Dargaville north up to giant 2000 year old Kauri trees and lots of twisties.

Dry and wet and dry again with harbor dunes and a sunset from bluff side campsite at Northwest North Island Northland Opononi.

Beautiful morning harbor transit from Rawene to Kokukohu and more metal to Mauri’s  MitiMiti.

Tasman devil sea with a metal drive to Ahipara and a peek at 90 mile beach.  Fish and chips before twisting through sealed Raetea  gorge roads and settling into east coast Bay of Islands Paihia  for dinner and sleep.

Bay of Islands transit to quaint old Russell and scenic empty road twisties through the Parekura peninsula with peaks at East Coast Pacific bays through partly cloudy skies.

Super slab to Dome Valley and a lunch/walk break to Dome Valley lookout, then more Super slab through Auckland's spaghetti junction and central North Island.  Rain threatening skies and no where to stop.  A middle of no where Otorohanga Holiday park with very very weird people into body building (ugh).

Out of there into heated vest and frog togs while the skies let loose.  Off to the Awakino and the Southwest coast of the North Island.

Sun breaks through as the coast comes into view and a breakfast and latte stop at Mokau

Twisty coast road with crazy Kiwi’s trying to pass at impossible speeds on outside cliff hanging lanes.

Natural gas New Plymouth urban sprawl and energetic money with University city and touristy encumbrances.  Hot Internet connection before heading to the hills.

Mt Taranaki (or Edgemont if you prefer) Fuji look a like.  Ride up to the snow fields for a few pics and afternoon rest-up. <next page>
